I have several options in the works. I have a couple of glue-ups done...hickory backed ipe and hickory backed massuranduba. I have been reviewing Little Ben's recurve build along and may try my hand at one for the trade. I got my home-made lam grinder partly finished last weekend and should finish it up this weekend and get my form done. If the take down is not successful, I can always fall back on the one piece bows.

Been working on alot of bows lately. Finished two, two in the works, and the swap bow is finally on the form. 3 more still need to be glued up for various friends. Just used my last set of tapered cores on the swap bow, so it's going to be time to do some more lam grinding soon.

Wanted to make sure I had everything down pat before I did the swap bow. Hopefully pics soon. Swap bow will be bamboo-walnut-ipe with flame birch riser (powerlam). Probably birch for the belly side riser also.

Ink that take down looks great. I know ***** is going to just love it. A close up of those nock would be nice.

And I don't really know if I have put it out there this year. I was just telling my wife how the swap amazes me. We have 61 bowyers. And from all over the world 7 counties. Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Germany, Canada and The US. That is outstanding.

World peace and hunger getting solved right here.

Thanks, Dave... I keep trying and changing things around here, hoping to make the perfect bow. Each modification to the bow build and tiller tree seems to make vast improvements in the final product. Maybe some day I'll make me a cough, choke, glass bow. If I do decided to jump to the dark side, I'll be asking you some questions..   :)   As the bow you made for this years swap was awesome.....

D, someday I want to build you a bow like this one. But it's gonna be a year or two... Be patient my friend....

I don't know Roy, that full draw pic looks kind of funny without your jammies on.

Be careful what you say Roy I might just hold you to that offer.  I'm a very patient person....as my foot taps taps taps the floor.  lol.  It really does look great though.

There sure has been some sweet looking bows this year.  I get blown away year after year at the works of art that get created.  The part I like most about the swap is watching them take shape from start to finish.

Nice bows, everyone.  I've not posted a lot lately, but I do check in daily for my TradGang fix.   :)   I've got a nice piece of hickory picked out for my  "victim".  I'm looking at a trapped pyramid design with a heat treated belly, flipped tips, etc.  Alternatively, I might do a trapped hickory-backed-hickory.  If'n I could get over this crud going around, I'd get started now.

Happy building, all!  :)
