This is something like how the limb will have to be bending at full draw...

I really hope its not too much!!  I just really don't want this one to break!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who thinks or has the feeling i should set more de flex in the limbs, feel free to say!!

I'll try to get some pictures up by the end of the week. My job requires me to be oncall 7 days.
It has been a busy oncall this time.

Thanks scars! Is that the U-finish bow? or the one you made like it? If it is its very well done!!!!   :D   I think im going to have to take the veneers and carbon out of my stack.... otherwise it will be just too heavy!!! with everything it would be 6.5mm with without veneers and carbon 5mm. by the look of your bows specks i think 6,5 in the middle of the sal would be a monster! (considering i want 45-50lbs)

  :D

Yes that is the Attila bow. I have not touched the one I am making since that picture was posted.

The bow length you are going for is 58". My bow is 50.5" If you subtract 2-3# per inch you will be close to your weight at 6.5mm
Binghams bow weight chart Has a 58" 1.75" wide recurve total lam thickness at .251. But A recurve bow has more active limb and a working recurve.

I think fujimo should post his grozer stats for you. It maybe closer to what you need than what I have on the Attila.

Hmmm, yeah thats what i thought with the length as well... but my actual working sal is only 30cm, where as yours is 33cm...
My siyahs are the same length as the sal.

Fujimo: That would be great if you could post pics and stats of your grozer bow aswell!

If you purchased full sized 72" / 1,82 m glass you should have enough to make a sample limb.
Rip some maple stock 4mm thick and 3,81cm wide same length as the leftovers of your glass. Glue it up and put it in a vise, with a 10" or larger visegrip pliers on the other end. Hang a 5 gallon bucket filled with 45# of sand weighed on a scale will give you a ball park thickness of your sal bending. Compare it to the sal bend in the mock up 8 post above this post.
