Recurve repair. Pics added
« on: February 12, 2014, 08:23:00 PM »
Did a little repair on a curves tips. Top limb tip got banged of a concrete column on release at an indoor 3d shoot. The fix seems to be holding good after 100 or so arrows and nothing lifting back up. The tip had the overlays partially broke off and fractured belly glass but no de-lamination. Sanded off remaining overlays back down to back glass and ran CA thin into the belly fracture and sanded for a good gluing surface.

Any of you guys done a repair like this on a curve before and how did it hold up?

Pics coming stupid photobucket made me retype this 3 times.

Yes lots of those. I would add an underlay on the belly side just to be sure.
