Recurve build limbs looking better
« on: February 20, 2014, 09:15:00 PM »
Trying a new recurve design, I have very limited curve experience so this is a shot in the dark for the weight. If all works out bow will end up 54-56 in between 50 and 60lb. Added a 7 in .0055 per in tip wedge not sure if it will make the tip static but it will stiffen it up a bit.

Bocote back veneer from Idaho Curt give away, zebra wedge, core tuff and boo core and brown belly.

Adding pics in a min.

Got a little more done tonight just need to decide on riser. Maybe bocote and zebra to match wedges.

Yep Moe phenolic, gonna do a little mach-up on some dummy risers to see about #age and length since it's a new design.

Stay tune I've got my fingers crossed   :campfire:

Getting closer it's almost a bow, cut out sight window, drop a few lbs and start shaping her out. Got limb tracking good now and she pulls smooth to my draw 29. Should be running some arrows through her in the next couple days. 56 in with just a tiny bit of movement in the tips.
