Fiberglass
« on: March 12, 2014, 12:13:00 AM »
Since my old supplier went and quit on me .... Who out there that is a TG sponsor/supporter sells fiberglass?

The only two I can think of is three rivers and Howard hill archery but I liked my old supplier because he is very active on the bench.

Me too!  I'd rather buy from some crazy old guy than a big business any day!

Same here Ralph also looking for a glue & phenolic supplier. Used to use Binghams but like you Ralph I'd like someone like Kenny though he can never be replaced.

Yes, sleeping between two and three in the morning is just a waste of time when one could be up shipping out glass and wood. Bue--.    ;)

Anyone have more info on his day job? Like a boss's name and phone number. I'll have him freed up and looking for a little extra income in no time...

Yep he needs some r&r.....still stinks, however on a plus side it forces me to be more hands on in the process re grinding my own lams (which had me a bit worried) but a necessary step...thanks again Kenny!!!

Guys, if you need glass or phenolic, shoot me a PM, still have some...

I would sure liked to stay in the biz, but you gotta live some before you get too old to do a decent job of it...  :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

We are upgrading our site and hope to have all the glass on there soon. We just listed core wood and next is the glass.
We are working on having active pictures of available veneers and riser blocks....This will take a bit of time to get implemented, but the upside will be that you can purchase right off of the web and get the piece or pieces you are looking at and they will be ready for immediate shipping.

Thanks, BigJim

BigJim the active website is a great idea, its one of the features I like from VeneerSupplies, you know exactly what you are getting.
From your end I realize its a lot of work getting it set up, but to hopefully offset that time/cost
you can also get a premium price for premium pieces. If you have some instrument quality blocks you can ask instrument quality price, average grain, average price. A true picture really is worth a thousand words.
From our end, we can decide what fits our needs and order accordingly, I look forward to it and will be ordering for my next bow.

My intentions are to offer many more species than what have been currently availabel.

I keep over 60 species of wood in my wood room and although they may not all be available, I will list as many as possible.

All my wood is stored in a climate controlled MC controlled shop. Some offerings will be kiln dried and others air dried.

thanks, bigjim
