Found a little down time........finish better now!
« on: March 17, 2014, 01:31:00 PM »
To bust one out for myself. Got some material from a couple fellow Trad Gangers. Thanks Shawn and Roy. Got a few coats of gloss on just a couple more flat to cut the shine a bit.
B/W Ebony with horn tips.

Enjoy
Cory

That one turned out nice. My first custom bow was a reverse handle style. It was one of Tim Mullins' (Acadian Woods) first bows when he got started. It is still one of my favorites.

Phenolic for the thumb rest.

She is 50.5 @ 28 52.5 @ my 28.75 draw 60 inch NTN

I really like the finish on this one, I used Buff Hide from the big guy.
3 coats gloss
2 coats satin followed by one coat flat used right at 2oz of finish combined.
