Can wedges be made from cedar? I have some cedar roof shingles already cut to wedge shape. Just a little wide but I can fix that. Could these be used?

I would think to soft, wedges take a good deal of stress.

I think most cedar shingles are western cedar, and it isn't real strong, so IMO, nope.
