Filling the gap...
« on: May 18, 2014, 01:36:00 PM »
After I got the news that Kenny would close his bow building business I was kind of sad because I always appreciated Kenny's ways of doing business and we all know the quality of his work. So I had to find someone else who could provide me with all I needed to do what we all enjoy that much. After a few days I contacted Big Jim and Terry Dunn and ordered some lams, glass and riser blocks.

This weekend was bow building time again and what can I say. They both provided me with some awesome stuff and it's a real pleasure to transform it into a bow.

Spalted maple from Big Jim

Indian ebony riser with red elm/carbon limbs ( left ) and mexican cocobolo riser with maple/ironwood limbs ( right )

Thanks again guys for these great pieces of wood.

Nice!!

Big Jim is a great guy. Got to meet him in Alabama at the last shoot. I will be doing plenty of business with him in the near future.

Thanks guys. We have listed a bunch of riser blocks on the web site, but have more than a few hundred left to list...this is going to take a little time.

Should be listing a bunch of veneers this week too.

thanks again, BigJim

We have most things on our website as of today. We will be adding more veneers and riser blocks as time goes on.
We have actionboo and actionwood cores and angle cut veneers too...plus glue, glass, carbon, phenolic and many other things to help you build your next bow.

thanks, bigjim
