Near done with a bow for Renee ! PICS
« on: May 25, 2014, 12:57:00 PM »
Finally caught up the most necessary things, and Renee asked when can I build her another bow. So I started one to keep the peace....    :D

Pics of the beginnings soon......    :coffee:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Here is the core and lams, amberboo core, quilted maple (with a bit of curl) that is a bit darker than the usual white.

The dark lam (leftover from veneers)is sprayed with clear for approval rating. She likes it!   :)

Stay sharp, Kenny.

That quilted maple is stunning under clear glass- if you hit it with a little dye it really pops!!

Trux, I thought about dyeing it, but with the riser the same wood, figured I'd hate dyeing it after shaping. Guess I could dye the core all the way out too tho..

It is darker than most maple already, have to think on that!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Now that you are out of the supply business......

She came in a little heavy at 42# for the first pull. Looking for 35, so should be no prob at all!
