I glued this bow up about 2 years ago, intending for it to be a reverse handle string follow. After I initially strung it, I did not like the look at all, thus I finished it as a regular hill. It sat on the shelf for a long time and moved with me out to NJ.
I wanted to do a high gloss finish and I sprayed the first coat of TB on this about 5 weeks ago, I then sanded and sprayed about 3 more timed and then let it cure for a couple weeks. I wet sanded and wet sanded after that, then buffed and waxed. This is the first and last time I do a high gloss finish.
Specs:
67# @ 28" - 66" NTN. 14" black phenolic riser with a 16.5" .016 speed tuff p-lam and tip wedges, bamboo core with .005 total taper per inch. I also added a .016 speed tuff lam in the core. Trapped from back to front.
I also noticed today I wrote 76# on the bow under all the finish....instead of 67# what it is supposed to be. Here are some pics:
