I have a Cobra 2, 53@28. Great bows. My best Trad memory was with that bow. I was shooting for the Bowhunting Certification here in Jersey in 2006. I had just made the decision to go all Trad and wasn't over confident about my shooting yet. ( Still Not!) We had to score three out of five in the vitals at about 18 yards. I was the only Trad shooter and I could hear the whispers behind me when I walked-up to the line. Watching several of the compound guys miss the 3D target completely helped my confidence, a little. I remember drawing back on the first arrow, then going up to pull my arrows. The whispers were louder and more of a buzzing then. I had shot a four inch group, all in and around the heart! That was way above my skill level at that time for sure. I tried to act like it was just normal shooting for me. Luckily I don't have any friends, so I didn't have to talk at all. The Great Spirit was with me that day, no doubt! None of the modern shooters got close to that kind of shooting. The old timer that worked for the club and checked us out was really tickled about it. He told me he hadn't seen a bow like that in way too long, and it was a joy to see it shot so well. I just smiled and said thanks. I didn't have the heart to tell him I didn't have a clue! LOL!! That bow will stay with me for that reason, even though I shoot Longbows now. Bowtie, I'm not exactly sure, but I believe an 8 1/2" brace height worked for me on the bow. I shoot three under. I may string it-up and check it out tomorrow.
