New To Me Self Bow
« on: September 20, 2014, 07:49:00 PM »
I have been hanging around the forum for a while now and picked up a self bow at a gun show. I don't know who made it. It is signed Al and was found in Canada. It is my first self bow and all I can say is it shoots beautifully and has a lot of character.

Could it be made by Al Herrin?

Looks nice, whoever made it.  Can't beat an osage self bow.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Now you have a model to copy and make your own self bow, then you'll know for sure who made it.
