Goobert boy, I'm gonna come out there son.  :)

Ok I'm working on it. 5" brace pulled to 16" so far. Can't send pictures from my phone. Going to the final 6" brace now and more tillering. Pictures to follow when I leave the bow shop.

Have it to a 6" brace height. Have had it pulled to 20". The outer third of the limbs need to come around a bit more. It is highly reflexed so the outer third of the limbs will be more eliptical, compared to a straight limb bow. Right now it's showing a -1/16th tiller. I don't care what it is, as long as the pull rope comes straight down the black vertical line. And it is, which means equal limb timing.

Trouble with not holding the camera dead on is the pull rope looks like it's to the right, when it really is not. But you can see it's coming straight down. Didn't want the girls getting sea sick again. You know how the whine..   :)

Looks good Roy. I don't think the outer limbs need to 'come around' at all... at least not at this point. Sometimes these bows' outer limbs end up showing a wee bit of curve at full draw, sometimes, if there is a enough reflex, they won't.... they'll just reach a straight profile.... heck, some even still show a little reflex. The key, the difficulty, is NOT to try to make them do something you didn't design them to do.

Looking good Roy.

I really appreciate the videos.

I have a real problem seeing hinges. I think my mind gets lost in the overall bend instead of looking at every section of the limb.

Please tell me if I'm wrong here..I'm still trying to train my eyes to spot potential problems.

Do you think there is about a 4-5" section on the right limb pretty much centered where it crosses the line on the wall that is staying straight...and a slight hinge just on the riser side of that section?

The left side seems to bend very evenly to me.

Thank you.

Could be a slight problem there, John. I just decided to quit last night while the quitting was good.. Coors Light wanted to take over but I said nope..  :)   I still need to get about 10 pounds off her so I have a lot of wood to remove yet and I need to get it to 29 inches down the tree..

Gotta know when to fold em.

If that is a slight hinge, would you try to correct it now?
..or being so slight, would you wait till you have her farther down the tree to make adjustments?

Thanks

Now. You never let a hinge go, it will only get worse.

A buddy in Georgia, it's 54# now, after shooting in and sanding it should be 50.

All tillered out to 30 inches.. Drives me nuts pulling a wooden bow to 30 inches on the tree..   :)

Here it is relaxed after tillering.

Braced after tillering, came out with a negative 1/8th tiller.

And the video with the rope coming straight down the line like it should..   :)
