riser glue?
« on: October 17, 2014, 02:12:00 PM »
Hey guys, I am going to attempt to glue up a riser and I was wondering what do you recommend? I will be buying a one piece Dymondwood riser block from binghams and cutting it and putting in some maple strips. The bow will be around #74@28 so I would like to get a good quality glue. Also I just looked up the riser block and binghams Dymondwood risers are on back order. So can anyone tell me where to get another good piece of dymondwood from? Thanks

SmoothOn epoxy, and I believe the company that makes the dymondwood and actionwood products burned down recently.

I can't help you with dymondwood, but I have actionwood and lots and lots of hardwoods...both exotic and domestic.
I also have the smooth on epoxy you need for the riser and limb glue up.

thanks, bigjim
