pierce points in the riser

I have seen some pictures of bows on the web; one was on this site; that have what is called pierce points in the riser. not real sure what it is but it looks really good, does anyone know how this is done I would like to see how to do it as I may try this one day, Thanks

Brad Jansen did one a while back its prob over in the how to section.  He'll be along some time and chime in. Sixby can prob point you in the right direction as well.

Search for "pierece point build along" in the bowyers bench forum and you will catch a couple glimpes of how it is done.  I use a finger joint router bit for this.  

The late Jerry Pierce, from central IL, came up with this great idea as he was gluing together extra scraps of hardwood to use in a bow riser.  Seeing the interesting results the jointery made, his experimentation continued and his ultimate results were outstanding.  

This process takes some time, but is worth the effort.
