question for Roy of PA

Hey Roy,In your tri-lam build along,great one and sweet bow,Your tiller set-up,you have two vertical lines you follow your string down.my questions are.
how far from center line?
how far apart are the lines?
are your measurements 1 3/4 in above the bottom of the bow saddle the measure AMO length?

I build the bow symmetrical to start, with the center of the bow being the center of the 4 inch handle, top of handle is the arrow rest. Then I cut 1 1/4 inches off the bottom limb and make the bow asymmetrical. That moves the static center of the bow up 1 1/4 inches, leaving only 3/4 of an inch to the arrow rest. The lines are about 3/4 apart.  My tree is setup assuming the bottom of my arrow nock will be 3/8th above the arrow rest. Now if I am tillering for split finger, the black line on the right will be where the trees pull rope hooks on and where the center of the middle finger will be on the string, and that is actually even with the arrow shelf. If I am tillering for three under, the line on the left is where the trees pull rope hooks on and where the center of the middle finger will be on the string will be. So you could say for split finger tillering/shooting, the center of the middle finger is 3/4 of an inch above the static center of the bow and for three under shooting, the middle finger is dead on the static center of the bow... That is one reason I shoot three under.. Ya dig all that? LOL

If you cut 1 1/4" off the bottom limb of a symmetrical bow, it doesn't move the static center of balance up the full 1 1/4". Instead, it actually moves HALF that distance... or 5/8". So this means your new bow center is 5/8" above the handle center and 1 3/8" from the shelf.

Can I just keep it centered and move the nock on the bow where it seems to fly best. Oh I really put a nock point on my string. Nevermind.
