Has any one made or shoot a thorn apple selfbow? Just bought a Jim Rempp thorn apple selfbow and curious of wood choice. don't see many bow made from this wood.

Hawthorn(thorn apple) seems to make very good bows. It is hard to find a suitable stave as hawthorn grows sorta twisty. Got any pics of your new bow?

Yes i've made a few and they are good bows. You don't see many because the wood grows in a way that isn't exactly the best for bows...the worst thing about it is the inclusions.
