Triangle brace usaly means speed. I don't think I would change a think with those numbers.

I have some CX 250s that might give about 9 or 10 gpp for that! Heck I might try her at 32" LOL

I've been thinking about that Drew, you get the brace height, but the limbs at fades are only about 5" from the string. I think it gives an inch and a half more power stroke. Somebody correct me if I'm thinkin wrong here....

Kenny : That's the idea I think more power stroke and less tension at brace if I remember correctly .
I like the looks , it came out great (IMHO)
I think with a longer draw you will really see the benefits of that design .

Kenny, how do you like your 18" Grizz belt sander for accuracy? I picked up a used one a couple of years ago, but still haven't put it into operation. I thought I'd sell my larger widebelt from my cabinet shop days, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It'd probably help out my electric bill!

I made the nocks a good bit ahead of the bow back so it would have plenty tension at brace which is probably why I came in heavy, and also why its quiet due to preload.

I may find it is not that forgiving.

I'm betting 30" will really speed that arrow up from previous bow tests!! I think it will draw 33-34" without stacking. Haven't tested that yet.

From the look of the string angle, finger pinch won't be a prob at 28" tho! LOL

Hi South,

It is a good machine, the only prob I have is sometimes the electric eye gets dust on it and occasionally runs the belt to the limit switches and stops the machine. Hate that especially if I'm making expensive veneers, sometimes it makes a little dip.

Other than that it is a horse!

Sweet one, Kenny. I love those forward handle bows.

Well be sure to post what you do find, even if she's not a speed demon you probably still have the forgiveness you where actually searching for. Still a beauty can't believe your gonna paint her

OK the draw weight at 28" is 56.8 , changed stuff so I can pull it on my shooting machine and get a better reading.

The arrow weight is 525 grains, got the scale out instead of going off memory. That's 9.24 gpp.

The speed is 188 fps

Sorry bout the first report!

Here's the kicker and I have to run this again, it appears to start stacking at about 30" even tho the string angle hasn't reached 90 deg. yet.....

The bow is more recurve like in the draw weight gains
28"-- 56.80
29"--59.31
30"-- 63.01
31"-- 66.36
32"-- 69.98

Shot that 525 arrow at 30 " which is a bit over 8 gpp, went 201 fps

A  560 grain arrow(8.88 gpi) went 195 at 30 " draw
