Got a package from Binghams today hope to get a bow in the oven this weekend. I think I'll make a New Zealand native timber bow. I'll have a search in the shed to see what I can find

Got the riser glued up today. Hoping to get the bow glued up next week. I always seem to get the busiest with work when I start on a bow!

Cable backed hickory turned out light, and my scale has gone nuts.  Those two go hand in hand.  Anyone got a recommendation for an analog scale?  I've got a 64" hickory with siyahs partly assembled, and it pulls close to 50# now, a little work in string bridges should put it where I want.  I do need to put it on a severe diet, it's insanely overbuilt.

Here are a few pics of where I am on my trade bow. Trying to adjust to working nights has slowed me down some but she is coming along though.

The limbs look like they can blend in with anything outside. I like it

Ed, you've gotta start posting some pics of these bows you talk about. They sound pretty cool.

Horn, that looks awesome. I like what you did for my riser.  :)

Thanks for the compliments so far on the bow. This one has been a fun but aggravating bow to make. I can't wait to get it where I can shoot it and see how that Sugarberry performs.
Now I just need to see some more bows coming along on here. Can't wait to see what everyone else has in mind on their bows they are making.

Got a little work done on "Ishkabibble's" bow- I need to glue the mosaic in and then start on the limbs...

Man, love that mosaic! I'm gonna have to try that one of these days when I grow up!
