I'm just building a new spray booth in my workshop...I was getting mighty sick of dust in finishes! So even if my bow shoots like a ~@+*%$ it should look pretty ;)I haven't even thought about wood choices yet

Trying to pick out some riser wood(s). I've got some nice Birdseye, leopard wood, walnut, cherry, and I think some Honduras rosewood. Decisions decisions.

Thinking Birdseye with rosewood I-beam .... Maybe I just need to order something.
I liked the way this one came out so I might do the IBeam again. Thinking of something like 62" recurve though.

It's a great idea and makes the miles between us seem a lot less. Nothing else like a lot of like minded guys with the same ideals.

Thats nuts when ya really think about it. Bob one of the first things I think when I shoot the bow I got from you besides how great it shoots is holy cow this thing is from the other side of the world. All the places involved is what the swap so cool in my opinion. Ink that looks great.

totally agree D , considering the tow brilliant bows I have received in last two swaps first Thad's brilliant osage 'snake' and David's snazzy little take down 'curve which was partly made from wood on his own farm. how can you beat that sort of thing?

Figured out my lam stack tonight. Lucky for me I have another bow to make to the same specs so I'm just going to do both at once. That way if I miscalculated I'll have matching pieces of firewood.

I mentioned on the other thread that Kelly drew my name out last from the list so I am making a bow for him.  So he doesn't want me posting updates so he is supprised.  I still think he just felt bad for you all and took the hit himself by choosing a bow from me  ;) .

Well Kelly I'm still thinking about what I want to make you.  Being your from Kansas you probably don't want anymore osage bows.  That's too bad I had some real nice 20 yr old michigan osage staves I picked up last year from a guy.

Hmmm.  glass bow, bamboo backed and belly bow, a self bow from one of my other woods in stock.  hmmm  could be anything coming your way.

Make him a PVC bow at about 20 pounds. That's about all he can pull...  :)

Yup, so basically if you tried to make one for Roy and it came in over weight you can send it to Kelly.

Not sure Kelly likes Hello Kitty as much as Roy though.
