Walt,

If you and Mark can make it to central/eastern IL or Central IN, I got places we can cut wood.  If you squint hard enough enough it's kinda on your way back home  :)

Walt I am bummed now. I will be in GA by that time. I would make a trip down just to meet ya and maybe help you fill some of that space.

Alright Willem, that's just fine as it is. You can skip those extra seal coats and just send it to me the way it is. Looks perfect!

I confirmed a hunch last night! During the process of laminating and reinforcing the riser for my swap bow I noticed I would start to itch. So I didn't work on it for several days. Went out last night and profiled the riser and sanded it to match the form. Took a shower and went to bed. Yep! I'm scratching like a crack head this morning! Zircote makes me ITCH!!!! Mainly around my neck where my collar rubs. Oh well, can't stop now!! Lol
Ps. Everyone's bows are looking great!!!! I'd be proud to get my hands on any of them!!

Randy, I had a similar problem with some of the rosewoods. I found a couple things help.

Wear gloves, wear respirator, DON'T sweat, get a dust collecting setup of some kind right where you're sanding.

It sounds silly, but sometimes you can get a specific rash like on the neck, etc even from exposure that isnt on the neck.

Some people have a similar reaction to medication where every time they take pill x they get a rash on their forehead or something equally bizarre. So it could be from breathing it, or some other contact.

If you have more work to do on the bow, my advice is get the most protection you can while you work with it, immediately take a shower after and put your clothes directly into the wash, and just immediately get some anti-itch cream on the neck and start popping allergy pills! Doing all this is the only way I can work with cocobolo.

LoL, I've been called a lot, but never a dainty little flower!  Thx Roybert!
LB, thx for the tips. I Always wear my respirator and try to wear long sleavs. I keep the shop vac going when I sand as I don't have dust collection. My shop is way to small as is. I plan on getting all the necessary equipment when I build a new shop. Asap!

Got the finishing touches on one bow to do and finish tillering another and then it is on to my swap bow. Thinking bamboo backed hickory with some dark wood accents, not sure which yet.

I'm that allergic to osage.  I almost needed EMS support the one time I worked it.  I avoid it like my ex-wife.
