Well plan 1 didn't turn out so well bad glue lines and the air hose went down in the hot box.
Plan b is looking a lot better. I hope to get a string on it this weekend and if it wants to be a bow.
Cheers craig

Sprayed the finish on my trade bow after I got home from work today. Should be able to ship on Wednesday. I'm still technologically challenged at the moment, so pics will be up to the new owner. Finished up at 62" ntn and around 50# @ 2' give or take an inch or 8  ;)

re:  Dmaxshawn

i think and if you can, you should make it take down. it has several benefits...

1. it is easier and cheaper to ship it.
2. it is easier for user to take it to shooting field since it is shorter.
3. looks more elegant.
4. you will have some more enjoyment while you are making it take down. i always get a saddness when i finish the bow. (until i start a new one  :)  )

best.
these are not the droids you are looking for.

Cut it Shawn! I just cut my overlays for my swap and as soon as I get the grip shaped up I'll be cutting mine in half.

Finally, got moved into my new place, built new workbenches .... I've now got 3x the bench space I had before, and I'm inside the garage not on the deck so things are good. Got a simple rolling lumber cart built today to hold the rapidly growing pile of bow wood.

Now it's time to build. I was planning to do a trilam but this Osage I bought is staring at me and I think it wants to be a BBO longbow. Can't decide. Maybe I'll build both and ship the nicer one. Thinking cherry and Birdseye maple riser, or maybe cherry/walnut.
Slow but steady wins the race.

I like take downs if you have mine name.

I just got back from 10 days in Haiti and hope to get some more done on mine but sorry I can't talk about it too much as Kelly know I have his name (he drew the names)  ;)

Moose antler overlays are on and the grip all shaped up. Now the hard part! I gotta talk myself into cutting it in half!

This one is about done- it's got some sanding sealer on it now and if all goes well I'll finish spray it next weekend with Krystal dull and send it on it's way.
