I went to the shop to work on my bow and it looks like I am going to have a little delay in working on mine trade bow. 3 of the 4 strips of fiberglass had vertical cracks that would be about mid limb of the bow. So I won't be able to have mine glued up this weekend like I was hoping. Hopefully I can get this taken care of pretty quickly.

Alright I am going to attempt to step it up a little! Working on. Transferring my old riser to a new flaired design. If all goes well my trade bow will be bolovian rosewood and canary wood, if it does not work I have to go back to turning my kitchen counter into a hill style bow;)

David, I hope so, my kingwood was just a little to thin to make a riser so I had to change it up a little, I am attempting to keep the woods form the same region. I can't wait to see what you make this year, you always do amazing work.

Got my wood picked out of the barn rafters this weekend to be ground into lams. Nothing exotic, just locally cut, milled with my chainsaw, and air dried with the livestock. Meant to mail it out today, but in my depressed state over Pete Carroll's call at the one yard line last night I forgot to grab it from the shop on my way to work.

Ok, this morning was better. The wood goes into the mail this morning for grinding. I might get a few extra lams out of this:

Dear *****, I hope you like homegrown walnut and cherry. Wonder if you prefer black, brown, or streaky clear glass?

Defiantly streaky clear glass, that should be a very nice all American bow.

2 of my favorite woods, would be a tragedy to cover with coloured glass.

All these woods being shown are going to make some very good looking bows.
