Ink:

"Flown the coop" would be the same as "left the nest" or "grown up and moved out."

That's a great picture. Nothing like bonding time with your kids in any fashion, but it's even better when it's archery!

Dang it all. Your first post had the same number of *'s as canopyboy. Then you went and ruined it in your post yesterday.  :(

I should probably update y'all: I know I've gotta make some progress this weekend. I glued up 5 bows at the beginning of April/end of March. The 5th bow is still sitting in the oven, with some pressure still on the hose. That's how things have been around my house!

But this weekend I only have a soccer game to coach currently on the calendar. Although my better half wants the garden put in. But somewhere in between rototilling and planting I plan to get bows cut out and start shaping. (Plus there's new toys in the shop that still need to be unpacked - which is just sad.)

Dang! Wasn't me either!
I did make some progress on my swap. Got the glass and carbon handle wrap done and all shaped up. Limbs profiled and antler prepped for tip overlays.
Still got a lot of shaping to do!

It could be worse Dave. Think .... If you had more kids or more wives there'd be even more chores .... I have one wife and no kids and that's enough to scare me

Looking good Crittergetter. I haven't got up the nerve to cut a good bow in half yet, but will have to give it a try someday soon.

That bow is looking good!! Nothing on my door step today either. Guess I should put some finish on my trade bow and get it shipped out... I've got to stop shooting it first though...

The white tube mystery has been solved!!

This is what was inside.

And now for the money shots!

I must give my thanks to Horn Chaser for making my very first time shooting a glass bow a dream!  This is also the first bow that I have shot that hasn't been made by either my father or myself.

This bow draws soooo smooth!  Zero Hand shock!  The veneer's are absolutely stunning!  I couldn't be happier!!

The timing of the delivery couldn't have been better as well.  Monday marks the 13th year that my wife and I have been married!

Got into the shop for the first time in about 18 months. I got all the limb material preped for 3 bows, one being my trade bow. Unfortunately all I have is streaky clear glass and black glass. We will have to see how this spalted tamarind works under clear glass, if not good , you may be getting black glass this time...
