got an unexpected package yesterday. After not being able to do any more on my trade bow, due to glass issues, forgot about receiving one myself. Not only did I get a sweet little longbow about 60'' which is deadly accurate, but Willem also added a beautiful handcrafted knife which is razor sharp. Few poor shots here owing to rainy weather and poor light

As if the great bow wasn't enough, Willem sent this terrific knife as well. I am in your debt my friend.

Ralph, those lams are awesome looking. Looks like Jim has some decent glass now too!

Caleb, that's a fine bow - congrats. And congrats on the anniversary, lucky #13.

Finally, you are one lucky guy Bob. That bow looks sweet and the knife is all class.

You know the deadline is sneaking up fast on the rest of us. With my shop clean again, I hope to get my recipient's wrapped up in the next couple of weeks.

Waiting on word about some glass,  but should be able to start something tomorrow (day off).  Hopefully I can get some stuff cut and ground and ready for glass so when it arrives I can glue up and get going.  I think this is the longest for me in terms of getting started.  I need to get cracking!

Beautiful work so far guys!  Rmorris, love that spalted wood!

Sorry folks been away from the computer for a while and the workshop. Got started on my swap bow a while back and will get back into the shop now things have quietened down a little. Some nice work being done yet again.

Started on the riser for my trade bow (finally).  Osage and bocote with a red glass accent.  This will probably be a 62-64" r/d longbow.

The other green and black block is for my brother's brother-in-law. He wanted a 'curve with green, so this ia what I came up with.  The limbs will be angle cut green and black.  They look really cool - I'm a little bit jealous.

Wow nice job folks some great looking bows. Sent and received. The first ship date us just a bout a month out so if you are new to the swap your bows need to be shipped. By the end of next month.

Kelly I'm still waiting on clear glass, which might be at least 3 weeks away. I have had the riser and veneers ready for more than 2 months but want to use clear to show the veneers.

My swap is done as far as the build goes. Just waiting on my new spray gun to arrive to put down some buffalo hide! I gotta say, it is the best bow I've built to date as far as how it feels and shoots. I just hope my victim is happy with it!
