Got my swap bow glued up ... Right now it's just a blank, hickory back, hickory core, and ipe belly.

I'm excited to see how it turns out. This is a new batch of ipe that's nearly black, hoping it finishes up really nicely. Riser (power lam) is cocobolo, and I'm thinking the handle block will be cherry, maple or walnut or some combination. Have some nice Birdseye that could be nice ....

Currently planning to keep it 66"ttt but may need to pike to 64" to make weight.

Pictures once I get a string on it.

I just need to add my victim's name and bow specs then get it sprayed- mine should go out next week if all goes well.

I have about one hundred arrows through a bow right now. I'm planning to shoot it some more then I'll see if it becomes my swap bow.
With the luck I've been having, I'm afraid to say too much!

Got a new job and will be moving out to Midland TX and I have to be there by June 22nd. I guess this puts me a little under the gun to get my swap bow finish and out the door!

Here is my swap bow. More than 200 arrows through it and a seal of approval from a friend of mine who knows trad bows and archery.

Bamboo, maple, bamboo with osage, walnut and flooring bamboo.
62 inches long, 61 inches ntn and 1000# @ 11 feet.
   :p
You didn't think I'd reveal the draw weight and length, did you?
It still needs finishing as it only has a protective coat of shellac on it.
The string needs re-serving. I made it a bit loose and it came out while being shot.
I hope my poor victim likes it.

How could one not like that thing? Nice work, some lucky devils in for a nice gift.
Its weird... my draw weight is 1000#, but my length is only 10.5 feet. Thought for sure it was mine.

Thanks guys.
Ben, how is the bow I sent you shooting? has it taken any more set? I'm shooting a 57# bow of similar build and it has taken some set, but it sure flings an arrow.

Ink, it has a bamboo back and belly with maple for the core and a flooring bamboo power lam about 1/8" thick and 2" past each fade.

Well I put some heat on a bow I was working on and I think it will need it one more time. I did not get pic. I was working on it and a rv neighbor came over and distracted me from that task. Don't know if it will be my bow or not but we shall see.
