I'm not 100% on whether this one is going to get sent or not, I have some more blanks glued-up. I've been working a new material which i've been trying to incorporate into my handles....we'll see!

Nice looking bow Mike!
Ralph I need to come down and check your progress before you leave

Got the first two coats of oil finish on the bow.  Gonna do a couple more tomorrow after bowfishing  ;)
I usually don't bother with filling all the grain as I kinda like it, but I'm going to challenge myself to make this one a "smooth" finish bow.  Who knows, maybe I'll like it too?

Oh, to $#!/!&#*#(&, your bow looks like its finished out within a pound or two of your desired weight.  So

Dear ##$%##@#@(,

It looks like I've managed to get your original bow down to within a couple pounds of your weight range. I'm about to cut the shelf. Hope I get it right this time.

been away for a spell. got the latest bow glued up today, maple/walnut/yew, will see how it turns out.

slow going for me, buddy asked me to ride his new to him goldwing down from kamloops, halfway down some punk in a tricked out honda decided to weave in and out and caught the front tire. boy that was a slow motion trip to the ditch. i love leather. only serious injury was a dislocated right shoulder, so i been babying it since then. i'm bored. lol

should have the swap bow done and shipped in the next couple of weeks, bud will be shooting it in for me if i can't manage. sorry *($^^@$ that it's taken so long, but it'll be there before my deadline.

We made some progress on our swap bow..  I hope our victim has some Stiff Shafts ..!  This thing takes a deep breath a a loud grunt to get it back..

Ready for a little overlay..

Veneer Looks good under the tape..

Things line up well.

Nice Profile

Didn't Break after drawn..!

I'm liking the way it looks

Basic shape is done.

Next will be the nock overlays, final
Shaping, Sanding, then the Krystal goes on..
More later..!

Whole bow sanded with 150 grit last night. Final sanding and finishing coming up soon, although I plan to do several bows at once if I'm going to spray and they need sanding still too. won't be long.
