Welllll ... Just got the 2nd swap attempt finished, well the finish is drying now. Something about this bow though .... I just don't trust it. Too many little quirks while I was working on it. Nothing alarming, no frets or splinters or anything, but it just doesn't hit the spot. Grip is a little small, even for my hand ....
Not sure what I'll do. Nearing a month over the deadline so I need to make a call soon. I'm leaning towards shipping the lighter bow unless I can finish candidate number 3 in the next couple days.
Either way my recipient will be getting a very nice and reliable bow that I think he will really enjoy. Even at 42# the lighter bow really slings an arrow and should take deer very cleanly. It also has the very swirly looking ipe with a nice cocobolo and cherry riser. I'm sure it won't disappoint either way.
Off to add overlays and final tiller #3 a BBO with walnut core.
