Right on.

I've got to say, 30# or 60# that cable backed bow is just cool. I've never seen anything like that and I think it's pretty awesome.

I'm one of the last ones left, hope it's mine.  I like that a lot-understated, yet powerful lines nonetheless.

awesome bows ...again-
Ed-that cable backed bow is truly one of a kind.
what is the story behind that bow. what culture did the style originate from. different looking bows, but similar techniques, are the Inuit bows.

ralph- that riser is too cool- real neat how you got that "reverse flared riser" to fit well ( dunno what else to call it!!??   :knothead:  )

It's partially based on an inuit design, with the lacing down the bow used to protect the string and Bhutanese string bridges.

Gaur, it picked up a lot of humidity after I had my stroke, and a lot of my bows are acting like that.  I may have one that took permanent set to the point of uselessness as it was strung when I had the stroke.

Thanks Trux!
This is my first try at adding some flair to the riser and it kicked my butt!! My wife is going to mail the bow for me in the morning and I will have a tracking # for Kelly then. As for my victim ... I am sorry this project took so long but hope it is worth the wait.

Really really nice work! I would like it a whole lot better if it was a righty though!

Beautiful Bow as always Ralph.  If it shoots as good as the one you made for me several years back, your recipient will love it.  It is still my go to bow.

Well who ever it is headed to... It should be there in about 9 days. I will be on an elk hunt when it arrives but I hope you enjoy the bow .

Ok 7 Folks left to get a bow. With one of those in the mail.

And progress is slow but steady so no worries it might be the frist year we did not have to get a back up bow made.

Ok, here is progress report on my swap bow. I have it out to 23" and need to scrap the mid to out limbs a few times to get them doing a little more of the work. I am then going to start shooting it in and adjusting any changes in tiller. Should be done by the end of the weekend. Will then shape handle sand it all smooth, slap on some finish and bundle it up.

sorry Kelly.  I was alone and didn't get a full draw pic.  I'm out of country again for three weeks again.  Halfseminole. No worries. Hope you have recovered well from your stroke.  Best Regards.

Randy Its ok Get us one when you can. It is not every day we get to see a cable backed bow drawn.

I think it looks cool. I dont know if I would want to carry one with whats looks like a 100lbs of string all over it.

Still it is an awasome design.

Seems like the interest in this thread always drops off about this time of year with just a few people waiting on bows and wondering if they will ever see one or not.  Odds are someone in the last 6 will not receive a bow this year.  What a disgrace.  Why do we put up with such crap?
