what wood do you grow and harvest?
Well, I should say locally grown and home harvested. Nature grows it either on my property or nearby, and so far I've been able to locally harvest cherry, walnut, and black locust for lams that have made some good shooting bows. There are also a few ERCs I have my eye on. Plenty of hickory as well, but haven't used for lams. Plus oak and spalted maple for furniture projects.

Nice, David.. I have to tape both ends of my sand paper as the roller doesn't have the spring clamp assy. But the tape works well.

That seems odd not to have a clamp to hold the paper. I have the other Grizzly drum sander with the open end. It has clamps. They can be a bear to use but at least it has them.

Some of the grizzly drum sanders have no clamps, which I don't really care for. Instead, they have Velcro on the drum roller, so you need to purchase paper with Velcro on the back, it's called hook and loop. It actually adheres very well, however with the way the strips need to be cut for install onto the drum, coming to a point, they suggest wrapping the ends of the drum with a strong strapping tape. Trust me here, you must tape it down, cause if you forget too, and turn on the sander, it sounds like an M50 machine gun going off inside. LMAO

Some old coot from Linneus, Mo sent me a sweet 36" x 2" x 2" block of pristine Osage for my birthday. So last night I made it into 5 awesome 5/16" thick lams and have them stickered up for this falls bow making season..  :)  Thanks Kenny..

Finally finished a 42# @ 28" set of ILF short limbs for Helen..these are the 2nd set of limbs off of the new form..she didn't like the first set..they were only 65# ..so after some new calculations I somehow nailed the target weight. She has been shooting carbon wood Sebastion Flute 42# limbs..I told her she will need stiffer arrows with my super awesome redneck bowshop limbs. If they are to radical for her Olympic style bow then I have a 15" Aluminum Morrison riser that will make a 48# bow for me.

Walked 400 or so feet with PT today.  Waiting for my leg braces so I can move better.  Should be here in a few weeks.
