I was supposed to be working on an outdoor privacy screen project to be installed on a friend's deck, but the wood I was able to get was rain soaked, so, while I waited for it to dry out, I pulled a longbow out of the failed corner and re-built it. I ground off the backing and thinned the core before gluing on a thin power lam and new backing. I'm finding that a long, thin power lam extending 2 inches past the fades helps prevent any tendency for the bow to hinge there.
By late evening I was pounding arrows into my target with a new hunting weight bow.
I'll post pictures when it's done. Today I have some dry boards to get sawing on.
