Roy, it's been so long not even sure I remember what length that bow was. I do know I tend to like the longer bows best. My favorite was a 68". Finally hit the aspirin at 20 yds. No joke, I've even got a witness. She thought I had shot myself 'cause of all the whooping and jumping up and down! My pug, cookie, is a bed hog also. How can something so small need so much room? Bows, dogs, a good woman, ain't life grand?

They grow so fast!  Our yellow lab hogs my daughter's bed, too.  When he knows that she's going to bed, he'll run upstairs and lay down right in the middle of her bed and won't move.  She literally has to push him off the bed.  Then he'll jump back up and curl up at the foot of the bed.   :)
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

I made a jig for shaping ILF wedges on my pattern sander..I also opened up the tip of my mini hvlp touch up gun from 1.00mm to 1.40mm. I am going to use it to spray Krystal gloss and dull.  edit..took Helen to Outback for dinner, then we boxed up a recurve bow I made to send to California.

Got the osage shorty all tillered out.  She's 45 at 28" just as targeted.  57-1/2" NTN, flipped tips, slender little rigid handle, sweet as can be.  Wish it wasn't so danged cold so I could stand to shoot her outside.  I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow.

Also worked on a static recurve BBO I started about 12 years ago  :)   I am struggling with the tip alignment but am getting close.  Might put her back on the shelf for another 10 years while I think it through!
Take a kid hunting!

:biglaugh:
we used tracking dogs in s. africa- when we were hunting there- and they were excellent- but i have never seen a dog "lock onto' a scent trail like these dogs do- you could throw a grenade  next to him- and it wouldnt stop him.
if you ever want to get one Al- call me- i will give you the right place to go- i did a lot of research on these dogs- very good breeders are few and far between.

Called in and eliminated a yote today. Normally I use my bow for all hunting, but these need thinned, they ate a deer last fall before the hunter got out of stand and looked for it....
Stay sharp, Kenny.
