every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to be building those darn tri lam things- so figured i would give it a go to-
cant be too hard i mean- specially if you look at whozall building them.
so gatherd some materials , i have an old snakey osage self bow, that i had retired -problems in the handle area- figured if i buck off the limbs, a little heat gun work, and saw them into slats- they would be good for the belly lam, some SPF for the core- nice and light- and i got a real good piece of bamboo- just dying to be made into a bow
so here my plan.
limbs bucked off by 11.00
limbs straightened by 12h30
limbs split into slats by 2 pm
slats spliced, and core cut and tapered to .002 taper by 4 pm
glued up and on the caul by 6pm.
get it off the form in the morning- 6 am
quick touch up tiller and finish applied by 9 am
be shooting it tomorrow evening!
should be easy!
well thats my plan anyway
will keep you all posted
gonna get my daughter to paint my nails and see if i can find my other camera in the sock drawer
