ok glued up some Ipe a night ago- pulled it out of the oven this morning, and got some pics of it, and the black limba layup i did as well.
this is what i have noticed so far.
1.the new glass seems to be visually "brighter" or more "transparent" once glued- cant tell the difference in the raw form
2. there are No streaks in the new glass
3. but...it does seem to have a very small fleck in the glass- it is not nearly as visible as the streaks- but it is still there!!!
it is more visible on the very dark wood- Ipe! and only when you get the angle, and the lighting just right!
this is going to end up being a personal decision- personally , i will use the new glass.
tell me what ya'll think.
i have e mailed the factory this morning- to see what they had to say about the flecks- and if that was an old problem, since resolved etc etc

some very good- older gordons glass i have had around for a few years- but in the photos, now that i am "streak sensetized" you can see some mild streaking in it :(
