« on: March 11, 2015, 12:42:00 PM »
First one off the form
2-.030 Black glass
4- .100 butt.002 tapers (.004 total) bamboo floor
1- clear uni-welf glass
1- piece of phenolic for riser
and some osage that was laying around

62" one piece static recurve

I added 3" more reflex to this one

As soon as I got it strung

I new sooner are later I was going to have to put the tip lams as a core.

cant see mark- but did it break right where your spruce overlays ended- maybe then the insert cores- faded in nicely might help more

That's a boatload of reflex. Bet it's fast ... And scary to string.

Very interested to keep seeing the evolution of see extreme static tip bows.

Nicely done cross-over between modern cutaway handle and ancient Manchu string-bridged design.  Personally I'd like one without the modern "prosthetic" grip   :deadhorse:   ...

interresting  nocks mate- but they would make me nervous- scared the string would fly off- totally unfounded though- just very different.
how did the cores work out for you. a little bit trickier to layup, but seems to work well
cheers

what are the dimensions of that bow-
length when strung
length of statics
and angle of statics.

i found that the one i built was really stacking the last 2 inches of draw for my draw length- i am going to have to build a slightly longer bow now for my DL.
