Forward Riser completed.
« on: March 12, 2015, 05:46:00 AM »
Well glued up my forward riser design. 58" Ended 55# @28" Limbs glass.042 Zebrano .030 Boo .110 Riser boo .060 zebrano .030 glass .042 Riser Pau ferro and Zebrano. Had to trap the limbs because initially was about 62#

Decided to name the bow "IKLWA" The Iklwa was the very effective short handled killing spear used by the Zulu nation in the time of King Shaka.

Why --  Because on the second shot out of this bow it promptly killed the first arrow at fifteen yards

Willem,

Great work bud, I really like that.
Did you grind your own lams?

Thanks

I like the lines on that one. Great work! Looks like it shoots pretty good for you too.

Wayne Thank you. If the bow could speak it would probably say "Ngadla" which means "I've eaten" and which was said every time a Zulu warrior used his iKwla on a enemy

that is one very cool bow- do you have a chronograph, just out of interest- I don't put my faith in fps- but just as a comparison to your normal RD bow.
does the forward riser feel any different to shoot?
they really have grabbed my interest!
cheers

I'm quite a fan of the forward riser theory....haven't had much of a chance to prove it to myself though..lol
