A few months ago Craig Hosler ("Hoss" here on TradGang) sent me an email out of the blue saying he had some bow making supplies that he wasn't going to use. Since he saw I lived fairly close to him, he said I could have the stuff if I came over and got it out of his basement. Craig hooked me up with a bunch of glass, laminations of various sorts, and a bunch of riser wood. I had never even met the man before and he wouldn't take any payment for it!
So to repay his generosity, I had Gary Hall (D&M arrows) build him a dozen arrows and I built him a r/d longbow. Today I drove back over to his house to deliver the bow. Here's some pics.
The bow had black glass, osage/maple lams, bubinga riser, and bubinga/osage overlays. 62", 49# at 28".
Looks good with a Gary Hall arrow resting on the shelf.
Craig at full draw.
And the results of Craig's first shot with this bow. Not too shabby.
Craig - Again, thank your for all the bow building supplies!!!
