Is this usable? UPDATE!!
« on: April 10, 2015, 08:08:00 PM »
Got this glass from Bingham's

This dosent look like the "normal" streaking, these almost look like fishers, what would you do? Unfortunately I got this order over a month and a half ago and never inspected it till today....

I agree. No good. Call and explain. They should take it back. Let us know what they say.

The real question here is: How did that piece of glass get out of Gordon's factory and why would Bingham's send it to anyone?

Yea I'm a little disappointed, wonder what would even cause that to happen.

Being bent the wrong way.

That's suppose to be the ULS glass to so if it was gonna crack shouldn't it have cracked in both directions?

Anyways, no sense dwelling, I'll order a new piece Monday and talk with them, see if they will do anything. I don't expect much because it has been so long since the original order.

I emailed Binghams a year ago, tapers not the same thickness side to side ( in the 1-1/2" wide part)
checked the tapers every 3 4" not any good either.
Also the prints, the lines not straight where they should be, big wide lines. a plotter would do much better job

sloppy workmanship
I like Binghams, certain things you can get there. If I buy lams I get them over size and grind them myself

I called Binghams today and told them what had happened, without question they said they would send out a new piece of glass this afternoon at no cost. I'm very happy with their service today as well as in the past. I know the glass situation is BAD right now but I didn't check my order for a month and a half and they still did the right thing, very great full.

I have had similar good treatment by Bingham.  Have never measured the lamination but they bent just fine.  I'll be checking them from now on though.
