New wood Takedown
« on: April 25, 2015, 12:25:00 PM »
67" NTN probably around    38#.  It draws very smooth as the limbs are 31" long with a 16" riser. Riser is maple, white oak and yew accents. Limbs are 3 lams of maple backed with linen.  I used 1 tapered 20" lam on the back.  I have 2 sets of limbs for this riser.  Took about 1/4" of set.  Sorry for the bad photo quality.

Thx Ben, I'm cutting all my lams now at over 1 7/8" that way my finished bows will be a full 1 3/4" instead of 1 1/2 - 1 5/8".  These limbs are 1 1/2"

Beautiful, your construction is fascinating.  I would like to do something similar someday.  Any construction tips you would like to share would be of great interest.
The best made plan won't get it made the way you planned.
