Padauk longbow
« on: April 27, 2015, 10:19:00 PM »
Here are a few pictures of a longbow I just finished up.  It has a padauk riser with a yellow heart accent stripe with maple limbs.  It's Binghams hybrid design, 62" 56# @ 28".  I've only shot it before finishing it up but seems to shoot well, I'm looking forward to getting to know it a lot better soon.

That's one sharp bow Jay!  I really like the contrast in woods!  Bring it along next time you're down at the cabin and we'll put it to work stump shootin'     :clapper:

Excellent! I recognized that limb profile right away. I have made many bows from the Bingham Hybrid design and really enjoy it.

Don't know how I missed this one. What a great looking bow. The black glass and black grip just look awesome with the paduak.

as all above- but i really like your tips...er i mean the bow tips( roybert censor moment!)
what was the white layer you used in the tip overlays- very neat, crisp looking bow.
how do you find the glass hybrids shoot compared to the glass rd longbows- faster? more or less stable? more or less forgiving?

Good catch Wayne, I assumed it was maple, but it could be white glass ... Would also like to know.
