Bamboo backed composite Question and supplier
« on: May 03, 2015, 10:43:00 AM »
I have a recipe for an boo backed composite like the Dryad soothsayer or bushwacker. the dryads I have seen use osage for both core with ipe for the power lam. Well I had enough osage on hand to grind the tapers but not enough for the parallels. I am thinking of using action boo for the parallels since I have a good supply of it. Do you think this will work fine? It would  reduce the limbs mass and be back by the osage belly and moso bamboo backing. I have built many glass bows but the wood composites like this are new to me.

Is anyone selling osage slats on TG suitable to be uses as a core wood?
