Yew core material for tri-lams
« on: August 16, 2015, 08:40:00 PM »
Just wondering if anyone might be interested in tapered yew core lams for a tri-lam.

I picked up a fairly nice piece of yew this past week that has quarter sawn wood on the sides of the board. There are some small pin knots showing, but nothing any bigger that 1/8" that I can remember off the top of my head.

I should be able to get a few pairs of  36" long 1-1/2" wide, 1/4"  thick tapers that will be tapered on my .003" taper sled. This should leave the thin end of the taper at approx. .142"

Even though I'm a sponsor on here I'm not sure if it's permitted to list a price. So if your interested, drop me a note and we can talk.
