Bow is fine, but my shoulder is hurting more and more, so I can't pull the bow to shoot it in. See the Orthopedic Dr. again Dec 1st. Most likely will get an mri and then surgery..

Bow looks nice Mark..   :)

Just keep raspin' on it until you can pull it. No reason to make it stronger than your bum shoulder -- you'll never be able to shoot it.

Weight isn't the biggest problem. I can hardly raise my arm up when I bend my elbow like to draw a bow. Funny thing is though, I can move my arm all over the place and it doesn't bother me. Just hurts when the elbow is cocked as if to shoot.

Roy sorry to hear about the shoulder. And heck I can always use another one of your bows. Mine is an older model just 2 Osage and boo. Funny thing it still is the bow folks like most when I am showing off my bows.

I wouldn't trade it or any of the others I have received for anything.

Get well soon and start massaging I mean thumping folks again.   :bigsmyl:    :archer:

Sorry to hear that Roy. My dad (70's) had same issue, could move his arm all over the place except for one direction. If I remember right it was also holding it straight out in front of him. He could still drink a beer though.
Oh I think he also had trouble wiping his butt, you got that problem?

I feel for you Roy, having an injury that stops you doing what you love is a nightmare. I've been there and got that t-shirt.
I'll send you some positive vibes across the pond.  :)
What is wrong? Rotator cuff?

Thanks guys. The orthopedic Dr doesn't think it's a rotator cuff. She showed me on the xray that the shoulder socket has a very narrow gap on the top where the arm bone fits in the socket,  and it's inflamed. She put a shot of cortisone in 3 weeks ago. That helped for about a week.  Now it's feeling worse. She said if it doesn't get better, then an mri and possible surgery to trim the socket and open up the narrow gap on top. Won't know for sure till she reads the mri.

Hang in there Roy.  Hope they figure out the problem and get you fixed up.  I have pain in my shoulders, too, but it comes and goes.  I think it may be arthritis.  At least I don't worry about the bow when I hear little cracking sounds anymore.  I know it's just the shoulder.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Get well soon and I hope it does not have to go to surgery.
