Does anyone know what finish Bear Archery uses?

I'm wanting to reshape the the grip on my newer Bear T/D without striping it all the way down.

Better to strip it totally and refinish in my opinion.

I don't know, I have talked to a couple of their guys about it but I don't remember exactly what was said... in a YouTube video I recently watched  Neil Byce III says "varnish" when talking about the finish.

My guess s that they probably use some kind of 2 part catalized finish. I doubt it is repairable and probably needs to be totally stripped.
