No I haven't David.  The shoulder surgery held me back this past winter through spring. But they are bundled up in a dry spot just begging for attention.  The next bow I start is going to be for Roy and I'll make them up for that bow. They are sweet cane shafts.

Just got finished today making my own bow rack for my room!

I wanted to go with a natural wood look, but realized that everything else in the room is trimmed and painted with Designer White Semi-Gloss. So to keep to the theme, but still look unique I took a 1x6 white board, and trimmed it with some square trim (don't know what kind exactly) that we had in the garage (leftovers from job sites) and installed some dowels and caulked and painted it.

36" long outside to outside, 32" inside trim piece to inside trim. Total of 10 dowels spread 3.5" apart to hold bows and/or equipment. It's a simple design, but it does it's job, keeps my bows from clogging up my gun rack, and provides me with a reason to splurge and buy some more bows to fill it!      :bigsmyl:        :archer:

Pictured is my two self-bows, my nephews cheapo recurve (Easton Beginner recurve), an old Bear fiberglass kids longbow, my Redstag, my quivers and arm-guards and gloves.

I am pleased with how it looks and how functional it is!

Yes I do Roy!!  Don't know if they would help a lot.  The one I got this week was given to be by a local guy that knows I use them.  Was 61" long.  Don't want to find out.  LOL

Did some shootin tonight.  Got some work to do on that.   :archer2:

That's a big un David, you can probably get both limbs done with one that size.  Never seen a cane brake though, are they very big in diameter like the timber rattlers are?
Is cane easy to come by down there, none to be found in this area.  I've made 2 arrows from garden stakes after going through about 50 stakes.  I believe they are some of the best shooting arrows I have, they rate right up there with my carbons.  Killed a turkey this past spring with one of them.  If you know of anyone who has any that would be willing to sell or trade shoot me a pm.

Randy, I agree, good job with the bow rack.

Dan, next time I go cut some cane I'll send you a dozen or so.

I'm calling this a cane rattler cause he is a little different than most of the timbers I've seen.  Was a pig.  Couldn't reach around mid section.  Was dark when he brought it to me didn't get any pics.

David, that will be much appreciated, let me know what the shipping costs are.  More than happy to pay the shipping costs.

The largest timber rattler I've ever seen was around 54".  He was probably 4" to 5" in diameter.

Worked on my takedown longbow some more... just need to bring the width of the limb from 1.75 to 1.5 inch. I have a new found respect for you guys who make these takedowns... they are some hard to construct and make sure everything matches

I noticed that the riser is upside down in the last picture but you guys get the idea.

My taxidermist gave me a Timber Rattler skin 6' long 16 Rattles. It came from Tennessee.
