Just got finished today making my own bow rack for my room!
I wanted to go with a natural wood look, but realized that everything else in the room is trimmed and painted with Designer White Semi-Gloss. So to keep to the theme, but still look unique I took a 1x6 white board, and trimmed it with some square trim (don't know what kind exactly) that we had in the garage (leftovers from job sites) and installed some dowels and caulked and painted it.
36" long outside to outside, 32" inside trim piece to inside trim. Total of 10 dowels spread 3.5" apart to hold bows and/or equipment. It's a simple design, but it does it's job, keeps my bows from clogging up my gun rack, and provides me with a reason to splurge and buy some more bows to fill it!
Pictured is my two self-bows, my nephews cheapo recurve (Easton Beginner recurve), an old Bear fiberglass kids longbow, my Redstag, my quivers and arm-guards and gloves.
I am pleased with how it looks and how functional it is!
