Yes, I'll take some of that osage you keep turning into lumber.

But more importantly, you should enter the swap and let people cringe at the thought of getting one of your tri-lams again. You can always donate the one you get to charity if you're worried about having too many bows yourself.

crittergetter it is no problem mate...

actually i was very very very luck that the guy in custom miss-read the value on the sticker.

the value was on the sticker $2500.00 and custom guy read it as $250 and charged me on this. if he had realized 2500 there was no way for me to get this bow...

but again... no worries... and no need to refund... your offer for refund is enough for me  :)  besides i got pretty bow and very nice friends here... those are all plus...

btw... i can build a wood bow too... maybe for you critter  :D  who knows?

best.
these are not the droids you are looking for.

Ok I added Critter waiting on ole Roy to bless us with on of his bows. Being the lucky recipient of one of his bow my first year I know how wonderful they are and mine is a BBO not a tri lam. I get more compliments on that bow then any other so far. Most I show ask can you make me one of those I laugh and say not no but hell no. Above my skill I admit it.

I am seriously thinking about getting in this year but I'm waiting to see how well I hold up to this new cancer drug they put me on. Don't want to start and then not be able to finish. I have till the end of the month to say yay or nay correct?

This will be my first time. Im in this year.
I would like to make a glass bow but I should stick to what I know I can make successfully and on time.

I'll make an osage self bow deflex recurve.
I would prefer to ship within the states to avoid the complicated shipping situation.

I would be happy with any bow, but would be very happy with a right handed glass bow in the 50-60 pound range at 27 inches of any style.

KellyG - the import duty is 20%. The point I was trying (!) to make was don't put a custom bow value on it....I don't mind paying the taxes it's just that if you put a custom bow value to it then the cost is prohibitive to me being in this swap. When I send my bow the value I put on it wouldn't be what I would sell it for if it was for a customer - it will be the value of the materials. I think that is fair enough  :)

This bow swap is not cheap for anyone figuring time and money.  If you are in this figuring on getting a quality bow for little cost you should be elsewhere.

I am going to join again this year.  I will either be making a one piece hybrid longbow or a 1 piece recurve design I am working on.
Any type of bow is fine with me in return. I like the 45-55 at 28" draw range bows and right handed.

I'm in this year, will be making a self bow of some kind, probably osage or hackberry.  Any type of bow is fine, 50-60 at 27" right handed.
Kelly do you need my address & phone number since I wasn't in last year?

I'm in again this year Kelly.

I will be making a glass bow, either one or three piece takedown.

I'm like Canopy boy -- I'll take whatever as long as it's awesome!  Weight can be anywhere from 40-60#@28".  I shoot three under,  and if it really matters, I prefer low or medium wrist grip, but I can shoot anything.

I know everyone does thier best on these swaps, and that's all I ask.  Let's make this swap the best yet!  What will the bows look like if we all try to out-do each other?

I will have to bail out on this after being in last 3 years due to health issues and a commitment to donate a bow to our local club. Sorry, hope it is a success and all get their bows in good time.

Ok I'll have another go and represent Australia for you Bob.
I will build a 2 pc take down glass longbow this year. I would love one of those sexy self bows I've seen on here but being over the pond I will also take any take down bow if you want to save postage. I draw 29" right handed and I like them heavier so any thing between 60# and 80# is fine. I wouldn't even say no to a war bow if someone wanted to give it a go, 100# or so    :bigsmyl:

yeah I would have to get back into training again for something like that. But I do like a heavier bow, I've always shot them better I'm not sure why really, but between 70 and 80 pound seems to be the sweet spot for me when I'm shooting 3D comps and hunting I don't feel the weight at all.
