PVC for me too.  I work with UPS and USPS a lot in my business.  Trust me you need all the protection you can get!

Wrap her up well and pray!
I've had 'issues' in the past as well. If you start thinking I wonder if this bow is protected well enough....it isn't!

Worked on the osage bow today, got it pulling to 25".  I'm right on target weight at 25".  I also shot a few arrows through it at about 22" or so and it seems to be a smooth shooting bow so far. Hope to finish tillering this week, then start shooting it in before it gets all fancied up.

That bow is looking good Krasus.
I finally got to do a little work on the riser block for my victims bow. glued up today. I glued up the Zebrawood with a strip of Macassar Ebony on the inside. Tomorrow I can work on cutting the riser out.

I've decided to switch gears...might build my first Hill style for the swap. I have some nice double tapered bamboo lams that will be perfect. Can't seem to decide which way to go....

Have the osage bow tillered to 27",still holding an inch or so of natural reflex so far, only a few to go.  Hope to finish tillering tomorrow.
I'll throw this out there to see if my recipient replies.  How should I finish the bow??? Timber Rattler (no matched pieces), cherry bark, or a good stain job?

Dan if it's was up to me I would go with a good stain job.

Something just sounds sexy about Osage backed with snake skins! But I'd be happy with any of the above!

Well, you know ... retirement hasn't been kind to old Roybert and it's hard to be a top notch greeter these days with a bum shoulder. So I figure he's just burning off a little frustration.
