Bowyers tool

I knew Dictum had many nice tools, but had not seen these before. This Chinese tool can be had both with straight and concave blades.

I've had this thinking it would be the perfect tool for selfbow belly work but was dissappointed and gave it to a friend after a few tries.
Found it hard to get consistent results.

Keeping the blades all in contact at once would be a tricky thing, I think.

I made a couple of scrapers out of old recip-saw bladed. Not perfect, they need to be sharpened fairly regularly, but they bend a bit more than standard made-for-the-purpose scrapers. I find that helpful at times.
