Little spare time = 3 sets lams
« on: March 20, 2016, 05:40:00 PM »
Had a bit of shop time this weekend, so did something I enjoy, made some custom lams!

I made some of these for a trade bow a couple years back so thought I'd try some more. The wave should stay on the limb as it tapers for a pretty cool look. Let me know what you think of em!   :)

Very nice, Kenny.

I have just recently started grinding my own simple lams and believe me, it has given me a whole new and higher level of respect for the work you are doing!

I never understand how you guys who splice like this can get things to fit up so nice, I struggle just splicing to 36" vote lame lol. Never seen splices run like that I bet that would make for some really eye catchen limbs...very nice

Get two boards the same width/length/thickness. Put them one on top of the other then run them both through your bandsaw at the same time........and you can work it out from there!!!

Nice Kenny, But I'm getting worried about Roy its not like him to be so nice. I'm scared that when he gets off his pain meds we're all going to pay.    :scared:     :nono:
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

You're my hero.

Those are awesome. Very cool without being tacky at all IMO. If I built using that glass crap I would buy some :-)
