Thunderbird Epoxy in Half Pints???

We are thinking of starting to offer Thunderbird Epoxy in half pints.  If we see enough people would be interested in buying it in that size can.  It would do 4 to 5 bows and have the same shelf life of two years.  Would this give some of you the incentive to use it that don't want the expense of the larger size cans?  We would love all the feed back on this you can give us, so we can make a good decision for our customers and future customers.  we are looking at a cost of $29 or $30 right now, which will depend on what our can cost will be

What happens when it gets beyond the shelf life? Does it not cure properly? I think mine is probably at least 3 years old.

In the righr conditions it can last more than the two years. It can have a couple issues including not curing correctly.

Yes, that would be good.  I just bought the pint and I doubt that a couple of buddies and I will finish more that 4 or 5 bows in the next couple of years.

I am curious.  What would be the investment in the spray equipment?  What is clean up like?

I would for sure use it if it was practical.

I like the idea especially if your someone who might put down three coats of gloss and two coats of flat/satin on top, so you gotta but both, but use it slower.

We have a gun on our website that will work great it is just $30. As  far as the air compressor. Most any with a 6 gallon tank or bigger will work. get enough air hose so that you can have your compressor outside or at least in another room the Epoxy fumes are tough on a compressor.  No paint room needed just clean area throughly wet the floor down to control dust.  Last thing needed is a resperator you can get one from any home improvement store for $19.00 or so

Clean up pour a little Lacquer Thinner from a home improvement store in gun spray half out to flush. leave rest in gun until you spray second coat and son on spraying what you left soaking out throughly right before spraying. When you are done with bow before storing gun tear it apart cleaning with the Tbird thinner.

This stuff was exactly what my son and I needed to get a finish we like.  It sprays easily, and lays down smooth.  We tried other finishes, and wasted time and money until we finally started spraying epoxy..

I'm interested, too.  Had such a hard time getting a decent looking finish from rattle cans on my last couple of bows that I'm shopping for a compressor now.

Thanks for the responses so far. Looks like if we are able to make this work, the price can be $29.00 for the Half Pint Kit. Still waiting to see some more feed back before we can commit to the can order we need to order 500 cans at a time to get a good price,

Yes yes and more yes, I would then be able as already stated to spray my gloss first then finish up with a satin. For us couple bows a year guys it would be great. Thanks for thinking of us.
